Stormz v2 is closing. Meet Stormz v3
1. Which version of Stormz is closing?
Stormz v2 is the older platform:
- stormz.me: where you sign in and run your existing v2 workshops.
- about.stormz.me: its website and help documentation.
The v2 workshop platform will shut down on (Paris time). V2 accounts and workshops are scheduled for deletion at shutdown, including inactive accounts. You will no longer be able to access your v2 workshops after that time.
Please download anything you want to keep before closure. The new Stormz (v3) lives at stormz.ai and is not closing. It is a separate platform: your v2 account and workshops will not be transferred automatically.
2. Save your workshops
For each workshop you want to keep:
- Open the workshop in Stormz v2 and open the settings sidebar.
- Find the Export settings and choose a file format, such as “Export as xlsx”.
- Wait for the export to finish, then click the download button.
- Save the file somewhere safe and check that you can open it.
- XLSX: save workshop results, including cards, clusters, votes, ratings and comments. Images are not included.
- ZIP: download the workshop's attachments, including images and files, separately.
Download the files to your own device; leaving a generated export in Stormz v2 is not a backup. See the v2 export guide for the full instructions and other formats.
3. Need help accessing or saving your work?
If you have trouble opening a workshop or downloading an export, please contact Alex before closure. You don't need a v3 account to get help saving your work.

5. A free transition session with Alex
Create a paid Expert account on stormz.ai and get a free session with Alex. The offer is open to free and paid v2 users. You don't need to upgrade your v2 account.

6. Common questions
Do I need to move to the new Stormz to save my work?
No. Export your workshops from v2 before closure. If you run into an access restriction, contact Alex for help.
What if I no longer use my v2 account?
Your account is still scheduled for deletion at shutdown. If you do not need to keep any workshops, there is nothing to download.
Can I stop the closure reminders?
Yes. Use “Confirm deletion at shutdown & stop reminders” in the closure announcement email and confirm on the linked page. You'll receive a final confirmation email, then no more closure reminders. Your other email subscriptions stay unchanged. Your account will still be deleted at shutdown. Download anything you want to keep before then.
