Facilitator Bar
The Facilitator Bar is the vertical control bar inside a Stormz workshop. It is where facilitators open the side panels they need while running a session.
You will not always see every control. Stormz hides some buttons when they are not relevant to the current activity, your role, or the current facilitation mode.
Simple mode and Expert mode
The facilitator bar has two modes:
- Simple mode keeps the most common workshop controls visible.
- Expert mode shows the full control surface, including advanced setup and integration panels.
Use Simple mode when you want to facilitate with fewer choices on screen. Use Expert mode when you need more precise control, setup, or integrations such as Display and Stream Deck.
Switch from Simple mode to Expert mode
- Open your workshop.
- Look at the bottom of the Facilitator Bar.
- Click Expert mode.
The bar expands to show the advanced controls available for your workshop.
To go back, click Simple mode at the bottom of the bar.
What the controls are for
The exact buttons depend on the activity, but the Facilitator Bar usually gives access to controls such as:
- Participants — invite people and see who is connected.
- Activities and playlist — launch an activity or move through your session plan.
- Questions or survey — edit the prompts participants answer.
- Views and filters — change how cards are displayed or narrowed down.
- Voting — launch and manage voting sessions.
- Classification and automations — organize cards and add smart behaviors when the activity uses them.
- Meeting Bot — manage meeting capture and chat commands.
- Display and Stream Deck — set up presentation, overlay, and external control tools. These are available in Expert mode.
- Settings — adjust workshop configuration.
If you cannot find a control, first switch to Expert mode. If it still does not appear, the current activity or your permissions may not need or allow that control.
