Bring meeting contributions into Stormz

Meeting Bot joins your online meeting as Stormz Assistant. People can contribute from the meeting chat instead of switching to Stormz.

It works with:

• Zoom
• Google Meet
• Microsoft Teams

The host may need to admit Stormz Assistant from the waiting room or lobby.

Start Meeting Bot

1. Open Meeting Bot from the Facilitator Bar.
2. Paste the direct meeting link.
3. Choose the chat and voice options you need.
4. Select Start Bot.
5. Admit Stormz Assistant if the meeting asks you to.

Voice capture is chosen before the bot starts and cannot be changed during that bot session. Chat capture can be turned on or off while the bot is in the meeting.

Choose what to capture

Meeting Bot can use chat messages in several ways:

• All messages — create a contribution from every message.
• Poll answers — use messages beginning with A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 as answers.
• Questions only — capture messages that ask a question.
• Default triggers — capture requests such as “add a card”.
• Custom triggers — capture messages containing words you choose.

Voice commands can also create cards when that option is available.

Use it with activities

Meeting Bot works best with activities that accept text contributions, such as brainstorms, retrospectives, question sets, maps, and polls.

Cards created by Meeting Bot can continue through the activity's automations, just like cards created in Stormz.

Meeting Bot time

Meeting Bot uses the account's separate Meeting Bot minutes. Check the remaining time and refresh date in Account allowances. You need at least 10 minutes to start a new bot. A bot that has already started can finish.

Stop the bot

Select Stop Bot when the meeting ends. Stormz Assistant leaves and stops processing new messages.

Stormz does not request a meeting video file. Temporary Meeting Bot media is kept for no more than 24 hours.

If the bot cannot join

Check that:

• the link opens the meeting directly
• the meeting allows guests
• the host has admitted Stormz Assistant
• the account has enough Meeting Bot minutes remaining

Google Meet and Microsoft Teams may apply extra lobby or chat restrictions set by the meeting owner.
