Joining a workshop

How participants join a Stormz workshop with a link, QR code, or guest access.

Participants join a Stormz workshop through an event or workshop link.

In a live session, the facilitator can share the link in chat, send it by email, or show a QR code on screen. Participants open the link, pass through the event join flow, and land in the right workshop.

Ways to join

Participants can join from:

  • a workshop link shared in chat, email, Slack, Teams, or Zoom,
  • a QR code shown on a slide or on the workshop board,
  • a second device, such as a phone or tablet,
  • a direct event page when the facilitator wants people to choose from available workshops.

Guest access

Stormz events can allow guest access. When guest access is enabled, participants can join with a display name instead of signing in to the full platform.

Access rules still belong to the event. Facilitators can choose whether an event allows guests or requires authentication.

Workshop QR window

Stormz includes a floating workshop QR window that facilitators can keep visible on the board. This makes it easy for late participants to scan and join without interrupting the activity.
