Stack cards
A stack brings several cards together under one visible card. Use it to collect repeated ideas or discuss related contributions together. Every card stays available inside.
For example, if several people suggest sharing an agenda before meetings, you can stack their cards so the idea appears once on the board.
Select cards and create a stack
As a facilitator, use a full-card view such as Card Wall or Kanban.
- Click a card.
- Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) and click the others.
- Click Stack in the bottom toolbar.
The first card selected stays on top. A stack can hold up to 50 cards.
Ctrl/Cmd-click also removes a card from your selection. Use Clear to deselect everything. On touch screens, use the card checkboxes.
For a whole board, select one card and click Select all cards. This includes cards inside any open stack panel, so close the panel first if you only want board cards.
You can also find related cards or let AI create stacks.
Open a stack
Click the count sticker in the card's top-right corner. It shows the total number of cards, including the top card.
The side panel shows every card in the stack. Participants can open it too.
Change which card appears on top
Open the stack and drag a card to the first position. That card now appears on the board. You can drag the other cards to reorder them too.
For keyboard reordering, focus a card's checkbox and press Alt + Up Arrow or Alt + Down Arrow.
Add cards or combine stacks
Click a stack, Ctrl/Cmd-click the cards or other stacks you want to add, then click Stack. Existing stacks keep their internal order, and the first selected stack stays on top. The 50-card limit includes all cards inside the selected stacks.
You can also drag a card or stack onto another stack's count sticker. The receiving stack keeps its top card. Dragging from inside an open stack moves only that card.
Sticker drops work in full-card Card Wall, Vertical, Kanban, and Matrix views.
Unstack cards
Click a stack, Ctrl/Cmd-click any others, then click Unstack. Their cards return to the board. Standalone cards in the selection stay unchanged.
To remove individual cards, open a stack and clear any existing selection. Click a card inside, Ctrl/Cmd-click any others, then click Unstack. You can also drag a card out of the panel onto the board.
To unstack every card in the open panel, click Unstack all.
No cards are deleted. They return to their original board positions. Removing the top card reveals the next one; a single remaining card is no longer a stack.
What stays unchanged
Each card keeps its text, author, categories and tags, and votes. Votes are never combined or transferred.
Board filters apply to the top card and may hide the whole stack. Inside an open stack, you can always read every card.
