Tag cards automatically

Add useful tags to new cards while you focus on the group.

Why tag cards automatically?

New cards keep arriving during the workshop. Adding a tag to each one takes your attention away from the group.

You want to find common topics without having to label every card yourself.

Auto-tagging reads each new card and adds useful tags. For example, “Share the agenda earlier” could receive a Meetings tag. You can then find it alongside other contributions about meetings.

Stormz can reuse existing tags or create a useful new one when needed. The original card text stays unchanged.

Turn on auto-tagging

You need to be a facilitator in a card activity.

  1. Open AI & Automations from the Facilitator Bar.
  2. Find When a card is created.
  3. Turn on Auto tag card.
  4. Select Save & Close.

Auto-tagging now runs on new cards in the current activity. Turning it on does not tag cards that already exist.

You can turn it off in the same panel. Tags already added stay on the cards.

Guide which tags AI should use

You can tell AI what matters for this activity.

  1. Open AI & Automations.
  2. Find Tags, then Guidance.
  3. Write a short instruction about which tags to prefer or avoid.
  4. Select Save & Close.

For example:

Focus on the work topics mentioned in each card. Prefer short tags such as Meetings, Tools, and Training. Avoid general tags such as Improvement.

The guidance helps AI choose tags. You should still review the results. Changing the guidance does not change tags already added.

Review the tags

Read a few cards and check that their tags fit what people wrote.

Open the Tag cloud view to explore common themes. Select a tag to read the cards behind it.

If the tags are too broad or do not help the discussion, adjust your guidance for new cards. You can also edit the tags already on cards.

Auto-tagging labels cards. It does not place them in stacks. To bring contributions together, use Stack cards with AI or select and stack them yourself.

AI Credits

A completed auto-tagging action costs 1 AI Credit per card.

If there are not enough AI Credits, Stormz keeps the card and skips the tagging action. Check your remaining credits in Account allowances.
