Word Cloud view
The Word Cloud view turns participant cards into a visual map of recurring words.
It is useful when a facilitator wants to quickly see what language comes up again and again, then open a word to read the original cards behind it.
What it helps with
Use the Word Cloud view to:
- spot repeated words after participants contribute,
- make patterns visible without manually sorting cards,
- click a word and review the matching cards,
- connect the debrief back to participants' own words,
- move from a large set of short answers to a focused conversation.
Why clickable words matter
A word cloud is only useful if the facilitator can go back to the real contributions behind the words.
When a word stands out, open it, read the cards, and turn the pattern into a group question. For example:
“I see align comes up several times. What do we need to clarify first?”
This keeps the debrief grounded in what participants actually wrote.
Word Cloud vs Tag cloud
The Word Cloud view works from the words inside participant cards.
The Tag cloud view works from tags or themes, often with help from auto-tagging.
Use Word Cloud when participants are writing short phrases and you want repeated language to emerge naturally. Use Tag cloud when you want to review broader themes or labels.
Good uses
- expectations at the beginning of a workshop,
- quick check-ins,
- training feedback,
- webinar questions,
- retrospectives with many short answers,
- any activity where recurring words can start a useful debrief.
