Change poll settings
Open Poll in the Facilitator Bar to change the active poll.
These settings apply across poll formats. The individual format pages explain the behavior that is unique to single choice, multiple choice, ranking, and scale rating.
Change the question or format
The Poll panel includes:
- Poll question: the question participants see.
- Additional instructions: optional context below the question.
- Poll format: how participants respond.
Select Save & Close when the changes are ready for participants.
Choose the format before collecting responses. Changing the format clears the responses already collected for that poll.
Edit poll choices
Single-choice, multiple-choice, and ranking polls have an Options list. Use it to change labels, add choices, remove unanswered choices, or drag choices into a different order.
Stormz protects a choice that already has responses from deletion. Clear the responses first if you need to remove it.
The settings button beside a choice opens:
- Choice: the full answer shown to participants.
- Description: optional context shown below the choice.
- Short label: a compact version used by Image zones.
- Icon: appears before the choice text.
- Color: replaces the automatic color assigned from the choice position.
Select Save to return to the Poll panel. Select Save & Close when all poll changes are ready.
Choice order controls the letter markers and automatic color sequence. A custom color stays with its choice when you reorder it. Scale-rating polls use numbered points instead of choices.
Let participants change an answer
Enable Participants can change their answer when someone should be able to replace or update a submitted response.
After answering, the participant can select Change answer. Single-choice and scale-rating polls submit the replacement as soon as it is selected. Multiple-choice and ranking polls use Update response after the participant finishes making changes.
Leave the setting disabled when each participant should submit only once.
Show results live or reveal them later
Choose Show results live when participants may see the results after answering.
Choose Wait to reveal when you want everyone to respond before seeing the group result. Participants see a confirmation after submitting. When you are ready, open Control Remotely in the Facilitator Bar and select Reveal Results.
You can hide the results again with Hide Results.
The Stream Deck Manage Survey action can run Reveal / hide results for a poll configured with Wait to reveal. See Control your workshop with Stream Deck.
Use a good answer
Single-choice and multiple-choice polls can mark one or more choices as good answers. A ranking poll can use its configured order as the good answer.
Under Reveal good answer, choose whether Stormz shows it automatically with the results or waits for you to select Reveal Answer in the Facilitator Bar.
A good answer is optional. Leave it unset for opinion polls, preferences, and questions without a correct response.
The Stream Deck Manage Survey action also provides Reveal / hide good answer. It becomes available when the poll has a good answer, manual reveal is enabled, and the results are visible.
Clear responses
Select Clear responses in the Poll panel to let the group answer again from a clean result.
This permanently removes the responses collected for the active poll. It does not remove the question or its choices.
Present a poll to the room
Open Control Remotely and select Start Presentation Mode to show the poll on Stage. Participants continue answering from their own devices while the shared screen displays the question, choices, or results.
